Lotus Evija electric hypercar revealed

The Lotus Evija is the company’s first production electric car and its most powerful to date, with a target output of 2,000hp.

Lotus claims that it will be the lightest electric hypercar of its kind, weighing in at just 1,680kg. The driving range is claimed to be up to 400 kilometres from a mid-mounted battery pack. That will ensure blistering performance for the Lotus Evija with a 0-100km/h sprint taking less than three seconds, while the top speed will be in excess of 320km/h.

Other features in the Lotus Evija will include laser headlight technology for both the dipped and high beams. Only 130 units are scheduled for production in 2020.
