Skoda will be unveiling an updated Superb on the eve of the Shanghai Motor Show on April 19th. Their flagship saloon gets an all new front end and will be similar to the new Rapid and all new Octavia. The comprehensive facelift sees the Superb get a new bonnet, front wings and grille as well as new headlights.
Buyers will now be able to choose from the option of bi-xenon headlights that incorporate LED daytime running lights while those famous C-shaped rear lights will now incorporate LED stripes – a first on the Superb. The Hatch get small triangular lights that complete the look of the re-designed rear lights while the Estate gets a bootlid that replicates design features seen on the Octavia and Rapid.
The amount of boot space offered in the Superb remains unbeaten in its class: The Hatch with 595 litres, the Estate 633 litres – both are the ‘best-in-class’. With the back seats folded down, the transport volumes increase to 1,700 and 1,865 litres respectively.
