A Very Green Hardtail

I recently had a surprise visit for some German bikers, one of whom was in need of some on the spot repairs. While that was going on, I took a closer look at one of the bikes that really caught my eye. From the broken English, I could work out that it was powered by a unique engine which was made up of a Shovelhead & Panhead Harley-Davidson engine. The bike was a 1950 frame and was a hard tail – yep, he rode from Germany with zero rear suspension. To add to that, it was operated with a foot clutch and hand-shift gear lever. Enjoy.
