Dacia Sandero pricing confirmed

Dacia has confirmed the price of its second model to be introduced to the Irish market – the Sandero. The 5-door compact supermini is set to shake things up amongst its competition that include Ford’s Fiesta, Opel’s Corsa & Kia’s Rio. The Sandero will only come in a 5-door format and will have a choice of three different engines what will range from a 1.2 litre 74 bhp petrol engine which returns a claimed 48.7 mpg for CO2 emissions of 135 g/km and a 0.9 litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 89 bhp and returns a claimed 54.3 mpg for CO2 emissions of 120 g/km. There will also be a 1.5 litre diesel that claims to return an impressive 74.3 mpg while producing 89 bhp and emitting just 99 g/km.

There will be two trim levels – Alternative & Signature, both of which will come equipped with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), four airbags, daytime running lights, a 60/40 split folding rear seat, electric front windows, radio with CD, MP3 & USB connectivity as well as bluetooth all as standard. The Signature trim level will also come equipped with electric rear windows, height adjustable driver’s seat & steering wheel, 15″ alloy wheels and body-coloured mirrors & door handles.

As with the Dacia Duster, the Sandero will come with a 3 year / 100,000 km warranty which can be extended to 5 years & unlimited mileage for an additional €369. Prices for the Sandero start at €9,990 (excluding delivery of €600) for the 1.2 litre petrol ‘Alternative’ and go up to €14,490 (excluding delivery of €600) for the 1.5 litre diesel ‘Signature’.
